I would love to someday have the opportunity to write full-time (although I suspect when that happens I will spend most of my time procrastinating about writing--Know thyself! Plato said, and I always follow his advice. Especially that cave thing...that was cool...), but until that happens (I'm not an optimist, just stubborn) sometimes Real Life will stand in the way of my posting, which sucks, but what can you do? I'm not going to bore you with the details, but let's just say that sleep has not been a huge part of the last three weeks of my life. And not for good reasons.
In spite of this, I have gotten a lot of writing done, and I hope to get to more now that the Imminent Work Crisis of 2008 has passed. That's all I've got for now, except that you should totally read Tana French's new book The Likeness (she's the one who wrote Into the Woods, that I liked so much), which I bought, in hardcover without even knowing what it was about. She's no sophomore slump, this one.
