On Nostalgia

Nostalgia - it's delicate, but potent. Teddy told me that in Greek, "nostalgia" literally means "the pain from an old wound." It's a twinge in your heart far more powerful than memory alone. Not memories, per se--but from memory , using bits and pieces of things I've seen and heard and lived to create whole new places that, I hope, are just as real.
